Playa de Radazul, Tenerife

Radazul is a town in the municipality of El Rosario, near Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

This town has the so-called Radazul beach, also known as El Rosario coastal beach.

This is a coastal area with several bathing areas. Two quiet, small black sand beaches protected by a jetty, which also has stairs with direct access to the sea on the outside.

It is a popular and family-friendly place, traditionally frequented by residents of the island, although in recent times it is also common to find tourists.

Snorkeling and diving enthusiasts frequently come to this area to practice these sports.

There is the possibility of practicing kayaking or paddle surfing.

In the asphalt and concrete area, there are wooden platforms where you can lie down and sunbathe.

Nearby there is a sports pier, a yacht club, public and private parking, the well-known La Nea beach and the town of Tabaiba (there is a path that connects along the coast), which also has a bathing area.

The views of the Güímar valley and the sunsets from this area are usually wonderful.

What services does Radazul beach offer?

You will find a public parking area, although it can be very difficult to find parking.

The area has waste bins and containers, as well as showers and a public bathroom.

Nearby there are bars, restaurants and a private car park, as well as companies that organise diving trips and rent sports equipment (diving, kayaking, paddle surf boards…).

In summer there is a lifeguard service.

How to get to Radazul beach?

Getting there is quite easy, as it is not far from the southern highway (TF-1).

By car, if you are coming from Santa Cruz, you should take exit 7 of the highway and follow the signs for Radazul / Radazul Bajo. From the south, the highway exit will be number 9. Once in Radazul Bajo, continue down the road until the end.

By bus you can take any line that passes through the highway, either heading south or towards Santa Cruz, get off at Tabaiba or Radazul, and walk down towards the coast.

To save yourself this walk you can also opt for lines 138 or 139, which connect Radazul with Santa Cruz de Tenerife (from the central interchange).

If you are in a nearby town, you can take a taxi to get there more directly or in less time. If you are coming from the south, a taxi is recommended to avoid the walk to the coast from the highway.
